Do I need to remove baseboards before installing my laminate wood floors?
I'm installing laminate wood flooring over a concrete subfloor and the base boards go all the way to the concrete. Do I need to remove them, or can I just lay the laminate up against the baseboards? Also, the floor had carpet before and when I tore out the tack strips it left small holes in the subfloor from the nails. Do I need to fill these small holes before putting in the laminate or are they small enough to leave them as they are? (Most are quarter size holes with a few as big as a fifty-cent piece)

Can i use vinyl wrap to cover my kitchen cupboards?
I have a newish kitchen with flat cupboard doors, the seam to be covered in a laminate wood effect, I would like to change these to white gloss. Is it possible to buy vinyl wrap and do this myself. I am very good with DIY and have done vinyl graphics on cars ( very small may i add). I know you can buy rolls of vinyl cheap and believe i could do this with no problems, I just worry about buying the wrong vinyl. Could someone please give me some advice on this. Thanks.

Did I cut my door frame too high for installing laminate wood floors?
I'm installing 12mm laminate wood flooring and I was following the directions about how to cut the door frames but I'm not sure I like how it looks. The directions say to line the wood floors up next to the door frame and mark 5/16 of an inch above that height to allow for expansion. Does this seem right? Will the floors possibly expand upward that much? After seeing how goofy it looked I started looking elsewhere for advice and everything else is saying to cut the door frames flush with the floor. Now the more important question, assuming I cut the frames to high, how can I fix this mistake? Caulk, quarter-round over door trim, anything other than replacing the door trim? Thanks. I did not cut the door... just the door frame.

How can I install plinth blocks to cover up my prior mistake?
I'm currently installing laminate wood floors and I have been following the manufacturers instructions step by step. Unfortunately, for some reason the directions say to cut door frame molding 5/16 inch above top of wood floors. After making the cut I saw how bad it looked and researched it only to find that the cut should have been the same height as the floor. So now I need to correct the mistake because I don't want to replace all of the door molding. My thought is that I can cut the vertical molding even further up so that I can fit and install plinth blocks. Any suggestions or tips as to how I should do this? I only get one shot at this so you're ideas are appreciated. Main concerns: What type of saw can I use to cut the molding around the door to minimize any damage to the drywall? How to I attach the plinth block? (nails or glue)

How do you start to trust a family member after they've..?
In december a family member tried to commit suicide while we were staying with them, this is an in-law of mine, and i'm still really furious about it, and hurt, She had said that night before bed "wake me up in the morning and I'll make breakfast before y'all leave in the morning" (we had a long drive home) It was me and my husband, our 4 year old son, and then his mom and her boyfriend there. She had taken a WHOLE bottle of antidepressants WITH beer, before bed. I'm furious that she was expecting for my son to come say bye to her when she went to sleep expecting NOT to wake up... How can I trust her again, or feel safe around her? Additional her reason was "no one listens" earlier in the night her and her boyfriend were having not a real argument but debating? on if her "antiques dinning table was real wood or laminate wood" which was silly. Also, I believe she is an Alcoholic, First thing she does in the morning is light up a cig and crack open a beer. she drinks A LOT, ALWAYS.
