<title>Wood Mantel</title>
<description>What kind of paint do I use for my wood mantel over my gas fireplace? Is there a specific kind of paint I need to use, minding the heat when the fireplace is in use? There&#039;s about 10-12 inches of tile between the actual fireplace and the mantel, which sticks out less than an inch from the wall. I&#039;ve got a can of Behr Kitchen and Bath paint and I wonder if I can use that unless someone has any suggestions? Thanks.

<title>Laminate Wood</title>
<description>Can laminate wood flooring in two adjoining rooms be mismatched? We are moving into our first home and we are replacing the carpet in the living room with laminate wood flooring. The floor in the dining room is already laminate wood and joins up with the living room floor. We are trying to pick out new floors and are wondering if we can get a different color wood floor for the living room or if we need to match it perfectly with the dining room. Would mismatching the wood look tacky?? Calling all interior designers! I need your help!

<title>Furniture Solid Wood</title>
<description>Where to find fine quality solid wood furniture? I am looking for a bedroom set. But the stuff I am seeing at the places like Leon&#039;s and The Brick are really not very good quality. I would like solid wood furniture, not all veneers.

Does anyone know a great furniture store that sells quality solid wood furniture?

In Southern Ontario only please !!!

<title>Wood Siding</title>
<description>Wood Siding? My husband and I are looking at buying a house with wood siding. The house is 106 yrs old &amp; has been completely re-habbed, but I&#039;m not sure if the siding is new. It has been repainted and looks to be in good condition. Is wood siding going to last for years or will it need to be replaced with aluminum or like? What are the pros and cons of the wood siding?

<title>Wood Shelf</title>
<description>Whats the best product to remove mold off of a painted wood shelf? The painted wood shelf in my apartment, that holds glasses had mold on it. I cannot removed the shelves, they belong to the apartment, and I may have been the cause. I may not have dried my glasses and cups properly, and that could have caused it...

Is there something that will take it off? Or do I need to paint over it?

<title>Wood Tv Stands</title>
<description>Where can I find a solid wood TV Console or Stand under $500? Everything is either particle board or outrageously expensive. I&#039;m looking for a Traditional style. The best I have found so far is IKEA for a very plain tv stand.

<title>Bookcase Wood</title>
<description>Should I buy the maple (light) colored fake wood bookcase or the cherry (dark) one? My floors are a light natural oak.

My other furniture in the room is a black leather sofa, and some other wood items. The other wood items don&#039;t necessarily match but don&#039;t contrast, and are darker than the maple bookcase but lighter than the cherry.

This is all either used, or very cheap furniture and I need a place to put my books so I am just want to get what will be less of a sore thumb.

<title>Wood Kitchen</title>
<description>What can you do to safely clean a wood kitchen table? Our kitchen table is pretty new, only a couple months old. We have a two year old and well he&#039;s a messy eater (like all little kids), LOL. What can I do to safely clean the kitchen table? It&#039;s made of a very nice mahogany wood and I want to keep it looking nice. Short of using furniture polish every day, what can I do for a quick clean in between polishings?
I don&#039;t know where else to put this, so bear with me putting it in the parenting section. I figured other moms might know!
