What is the best way to sound proof a room for recording?
I am going to be working in a part of a garage. 2 walls are cinder block, I will have to build another barrier and dampen that, and then sound proof the wood garage door. It doesn't have to be perfect, just deaden the sound in the room for recording and muffle it enough that it will not annoy the neighbors. Thanks for your help!

wood filler to anchor screws in soft-wood garage door?
My garage door is made of pretty soft wood. The arm connecting the garage door to the overhead belt opener is metal, which has been screwed into the wood. With repeated use, the screws connecting the arm to the door itself have started to pull, broadening the screw holes in the door and making the whole thing a little less sturdy (i.e. those screws could pull out eventually). My first thought is to get some wood filler, slap it in the screw holes, let it dry, and put the screws back in. Other thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks!
