resin/plastic or wood patio furniture...which do you prefer, and why?
I'm shopping for patio furniture...something to relax on that will hold up for at least a few seasons. Hopefully I can get as much mileage out of it as possible. Any really good recommendations or bad experiences? Thanks in advance!

What should I use to paint an outdoor covered wood patio?
I recently had my back porch redone with a half porch half covered screened in patio. To reduce costs I told the contractor not to put anything on the flooring - so now it is up to me to finish the project. I have a 13x8 covered patio that will recieve some moisture and rain due to being outside - the floor is 1 inch thick sheet flooring. I do not want to use outdoor carpet and it will not look good just to sand and stain this flooring (tile is not an option due to weather and moisture changes that will cause it to crack) - so I am left with painting it with something. I have looked at polyurethane flooring but needs some recomendations to go with or even a company that does this sort of work? Any other ideas are also welcomed. Thanks - Daniel

wood patio shade?
Looking for a patio shade to replace an old bamboo shade over my patio. Would like to replace it with wood slats that are secured together Looking for some kind of wood patio shade to put over an existing metal frame. Used to have a roll of bamboo shade over it. Would like to replace it with some kind of wood like redwood slats that are secured together. Not a pergola.

Where can I get spares for patio doors no longer manufactured?
Our 15 year old double glazed hard wood patio doors - used indoors so have no deterioration to wood. The tracks have worn out - and door will no longer slide. Seems a crime to dispose of door and fixed -leaf because track isnno longer available. Does anyone know a supplier or manufacturer - or have ideas as to how to repair this without wasting an otherwise perfectly sound door.
