How do you paint a fake brass and wood table base?
I thought I asked this question but I may not have hit submit as it didn't show up in my asked questions. So sorry to you for the repeat if it is one! I found the perfect size table at a thrift store but the base is ugly. It is made of natural colored wood and circled in fake brass with fake brass on the legs. I would like to repaint the base but am unsure of how to. Can I use any type of spray paint on the base to cover both the brass and wood? Do I need to rough it up or anything for the paint to stick? Is there any other type of paint I should use? Whatever help I can get would be appreciated. Since its at a thrift store I need to buy it fast or it might be gone. Thanks for your help!

How to clean a a wood table!!!??? Help!!!?
Alright, so I had a few friends over, and now my dining room table is messed up. They just ate and drank and made a mess. I think it's a stained wood table (it's all glossy and shiny and whatever) and there are clear, rough patches all over the table and I cannot get them out. Im not sure of theu are heat stains or water stains, i thought those were not rough. I need them out ASAP. I just tried using the white t shirt and iron thing, that didnt really do much. Please please please help me. Thank you.

Can you replace the caning in the back of a chair with wood?
I'm purchasing a beautiful burl-wood table that comes with six chairs. Love everything about the set, except the caned-backing on the chairs. (The seats are upholstered) Is there a way to replace the cane with wood? If not, how about upholstering just the backing inserts? Thanks!

quesitons on building a kids table..?
i am going to build a wood table for my 15mo old child. its going to be a rectanlge table that will have a hole on opne ned to drop a plastic bin down into it.....that is used for sensory projects. anyways. my original thought were to build a frame using 1x2's then insert a 1x2 on the one end(creating a square) where ill drop a plastic bin into for mre support. then i would glue ans screw plywood on top of the frame. then screw top plates under side, and buy pre made legs with anchor bolts to screw in. But then i wondered - what if i buy a thick enough plywood for the table top - would i even need to build a frame?????? this is my quesiton. and if i dont need to build a frame - how thick do i need to go?? 1'. 2', etc
