Decorating Your Home With Woodcrafts

Decorating your home with woodcrafts suffuses your home with a certain warmth and charm that is very reminiscent of country living. There is a wide assortment of woodcraft projects, from the simple plaque to more complex carved artifact and intricately woven wicker basket. Woodcrafts enhance your home with an atmosphere that goes beyond mere d?cor. The warm and welcoming appeal of woodcrafts is beyond compare. It's in the way it is constructed and the way it is finished that makes a woodcraft welcome plaque feel wonderfully welcoming and a woodcraft Adirondack chair look infinitely inviting. Although there's nothing tangible about the appeal of woodcraft d?cor; appealing it is.

Versatile Woodcraft

Woodcraft is a versatile accessory for any room, whether you wish to use it in the living room, kitchen, dining room or the entrance. You can customize it to suit your own unique needs and use it to display any image or message you wish. Woodcraft encompasses tiny decorative accessories as well as larger items of furniture.

Woodcraft Plaques

Hang a woodcraft welcoming plaque at your entrance and watch it soon turn into a conversation piece. A plaque with a special message for the whole family can turn a stark kitchen into a warm cozy haven. You could even get woodcraft plaques with personalized sun signs for each member of the family and hang it in their bedrooms.

Woodcraft Animals

Animal-shaped welcome signs add extra versatility to your woodcraft. You can leave them up wherever you want to and only change the outfits to match the season or even a special occasion or during the different holidays. Your little woodcraft animal could be dressed in black and orange for Halloween and red and green for Christmas.

Woodcraft Picture Frames

Preserve your special memories in woodcraft picture frames in different shapes and sizes. Woodcraft picture frames in the bedroom are an excellent way for each member of the family to display their singularly special photograph or family photographs or even to display a favorite keepsake. Frame your children's art in woodcraft picture frames and hang them all over the house for a completely unique interior d?cor idea that you are unlikely to see in anybody else's home.

Given their simplicity of construction, woodcraft picture frames are also easy make-at-home projects. Let every member of the family make their own picture frame. Alternatively buy plain picture frames from any craft and hobby store and get everybody to personalize their own frames. Woodcraft frames are easy to paint and stain and also easy to decorate with rhinestones, shells, beads and sequins.

Woodcraft Christmas Ornaments

Woodcraft Christmas ornaments will last forever. Give your Christmas tree a touch of 'something old; something new' by decorating the tree with traditional woodcraft ornaments along new and shiny baubles and glass ornaments. For a Christmas tradition the kids are sure to cherish and carry forward, commemorate every Christmas with a specially personalized woodcraft Christmas ornament.

Angels in different avatars are a delightful addition to any Christmas tree. Woodcraft angels with sassy expressions will give your Christmas tree a completely different look as compared to the look of a tree with innocent-looking angels or romantic angels hanging from it.

Fixing Paint Flaws-desperate?
My husband and I ordered maple cabinets. The doors are giving us fits bc we are so amateur at this. I did research and bought Wagoner sprayer and primed with PrimeLock. It was disaster. My husband sanded and reprimed then painted with Wagoner. We are using Muralo Waterborne paint that is latex. It can go over the Primelock. Results were not smooth. Half way through we bought 199 dollar sprayer (Graco) from SW. My husband has been down in basement all week sanding spraying, etc etc. I inspected them and it's a mess! I tried to be gentle, but he's totally DONE and upset. We are both upset at prospect of messing up our beautiful expensive RTA cabinets (Conestoga). I have decided to go with distressed finish sanding the edges. This is really our only choice if we ever want to get done. I figure the flaws wont look AS bad this way. I'm currently in basement sanding off some drips and over what paint guy called orange peel effect. I'm also going over edges where husband sprayed and it was set down on brown paper before curing. Ugh!!! I'm going from 120 or 180 grit up to 600 grit. Here are my questions? After sanding, I see sand marks. Should I be going in one direction or in circles? Do I have to respray the middle of cabinets where there are light sanding marks OR when I wipe on some expensive clear poly I bought from Woodcraft Store will it hide the sand marks? (I'm planning on wiping it on with clean rags 3-4 times to achieve smooth finish and not have to use sprayer). Is there any way to avoid using the $$%^^ sprayer again? I just want to lightly use foam brush and paint on Muralo to edges where husband missed painting edge entirely or where I sanded alot of paint off to smooth the edge down. I have gotten down my cake stand turner (acts like lazy susan) and if I have to spray, I was going to just spray edges with gun that way and sit cabinet door out to dry on top of a book. Of course it's windy so the dadgum dust will prob get in it! I may have to bring it upstairs and open windows so we don't get fumes and let it dry there. Oh my this is a mess....PLEASE anyone with some advice on fixing these the easiest way come forth and advise. I am about to cry. I am so tired of this. We've been in kitchen remodel for over 6 months and I have a toddler. Help! Also don't advise hiring it out bc we have NO money. Of course all we've spent could have been used to hire it out in first place- hindsight 20/20 and all. Ugh. Thanks in advance for any help. OK, I will die if I have to sand these suckers down to the bare wood. Thanks all for your advice. We used paint retarder/thinner in both primer and Muralo paint. Muralo is same as what professional around here uses. It's BM and very dries level and hard. To person who suggested we buy another sprayer- no money to do so. Here is what I'm doing. I have dusted a gutted bathroom and taped off vent. I'm distressing each peice super carefully with 280. Then sanding using course all the way up to 600 grit. Took one hour for small drawer! I'm using tack cloth between the diff grits. I know have one perfect distressed drawer front laying in room to see if it gets dusty. I wet down room some. If it doesn't get dusty, I'm going to go in there and use the wipe on poly on each peice and let dry sealed off from vapors. Hopefully not a fire hazard? On some peices with unpainted edges, I'll have to carefully roll on or spray some paint before I do that peice. I hate this. I will never do again!
